How to Get There

Dhaka → Bandarban by bus (~8–9 hrs). Nilgiri/Chimbuk by reserved Chander Gari from town. Amiakhum needs boat/jeep to Thanchi plus a guided trek.

Best Time to Visit

November–February for general sightseeing. Waterfalls peak just after monsoon (Sept–Oct) but trails are harder then.

Rangamati Hill District

Rangamati

Built around Kaptai Lake, the country’s largest man-made lake. The Rangamati Hanging Bridge is the town’s icon. Boat trips reveal small islands, the Chakma Raja’s Palace, and Buddhist viharas.

Sajek Valley

One of the highest points open to tourists in the Chittagong Hill Tracts, near the Mizoram border. Famous for its “sea of clouds,” best seen at dawn from Congkong Pahar or Ruilui Para.
